I use this with my camera, and the attachment will work with my android phone, but unless you have a small iPad, I think you would need a larger attachment. The tripod is very lightweight, so keep that in mind for the weight of whatever device is attached.

Best Buy sells an ipad mount by Joby (and also an iphone mount): JOBY - GripTight PRO Tablet Mount - Black Model:JB01394 SKU:6293602 Usually in stock at your local store, so check it out to make sure it fits your needs. I have not personally tried it.
