• There's no need to wait until the 24th—just redeem the code through the Nintendo eShop on your Nintendo Switch 2. The Nintendo website will only give you an error, but if you enter the code directly on the Switch 2, you should be able to pre-order it.

• I have that same question. The best answer I can find is, yes. Unfortunately, I too thought purchasing the digital copy would allow it to be played prior to the July 24th date.
