There is NO LAG WHATSOEVER with ANY controllers on the SWITCH be it the Joy Cons OR the Pro Controllers.

Regardless of which method you used you should be fine. If you're a die-hard player I'm pretty sure your play wired but it really doesn't matter.

I’m not sure but all that does is charge the device and it uses the cord to install updates to the controller

The wireless one is fine, i havent noticed lag. But plugging it in doesnt seem to mattee.

From what I've read, wireless on the pro controller actually has less input lag than plugged in.

Have you tried changing settings on your tv? I had a similar issue and changed video settings and then no lag at all.. just google like game lag and specific tv or something like that
