As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, QuickBooks Desktop is primarily designed for Windows-based systems. It is not natively compatible with Microsoft Surface devices that run Windows on ARM (such as the Surface Pro X), as they use ARM processors instead of traditional x86/x64 processors. However, if you have a Surface device running a full version of Windows (not Windows on ARM), such as the Surface Pro, Surface Laptop, or Surface Book, you can install and run QuickBooks Desktop without any compatibility issues. These devices use Intel or AMD processors and can run a wide range of Windows applications, including QuickBooks Desktop. Please note that software compatibility may evolve over time, and it's possible that there have been developments or updates regarding QuickBooks Desktop's compatibility with Windows on ARM devices like the Surface Pro X since my last update. To be sure, it's advisable to check the official QuickBooks website or contact their support for the most up-to-date information regarding device compatibility.
