On the right handle you have a black lever that you use to Accelerate. On your left side there’s a red lever you use to decelerate. There’s also the traditional push scooter break you use with your foot.

No emergency brake, unless you count the rear wheel brake, which does have a friction brake when you step on it. That works well. Scooter has more trouble with going than stopping.
