“if fully charged but not in use how long will it stay charged? I wanted them to be charged when they open them for Christmas”

Cindy, thank you for contacting us regarding our T-580! If the unit is not being used, the battery can still be depleted. We would recommend fully charging the unit before riding. So once the unit is opened, it would need to be fully charged before riding.
