How far out will they pick up null

Thanks for your question. The cameras are battery powered and rely on a PIR (Passive Infrared) sensor to detect motion. PIR sensors typically work up to around 26 feet away from the camera, and detect more reliably if the person is walking across or at an angle to the camera rather than directly towards it.
