“Can I plug this into my Direct TV DVR ? And if so, is there an App for phone?tablet? I live in a City apartment building & want to put it outside my door, in the Hall. Is this something that I can do with this device? not too Tech-savvy”

Using the Swann Security application it can be remotely accessed and controlled on your mobile device. We would recommend you look into our wifi products.
