• Yes it's made for the 4K NVR-8580 a must if you want all the features to work not sure if it works properly with others need to check with swann.

• Yes, but the NVR must be a compatible version. The camera sis not compatible with every NVR availble. Please view the Swann compatbility chart for the list of compatible cameras. https://www.swann.com/media/wysiwyg/docs/swann-camera-compatibility.pdf
