Hi Vic. The type of cable that connects each camera to the NVR box is called an Ethernet cable. This cable can carry both video and power over the same stretch of cable, hence ‘Power over Ethernet’. It can make the installation simpler as each camera just needs one cable going into it, and the NVR box delivers the power to each camera. -SD, Swann Team
