You can choose whichever one you want to do. Record always or when movement and you can adjust the sensitivy level on them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Out the box it's set to always record but It has the option to set both all day record or motion. When you review the footage, you see (a solid) green and yellow bars. They both appear on a timeline and if you set the settings to just motion detection; you'll see when it records movement (you can also set the camera's motion sensitivity). You can also enable both simultaneously so that it shows movement on the timeline while it records 24/7. Also, you're able to setup a specific day(s) & time). I hope this helps! I recommend it!

Please try again later.Admin choice - In half hour blocks, each camera can be different, you can even select portions of view to be motion sensitive, but have it ignore something that is constantly moving. Some cameras can be constant , some motion, or constant some hours, motion other hours.
