“I have a couple of cat-5 runs out to my gate at about 700'; been running good this way many years. Can I add just power near the camera (additional POE, to correct power supply voltage drop) since this system only reaches 300? If so, what do i buy?”

You can use an injector at the camera location but Cat 5e is good for a little over 300'. I've used it as far as 400'. For a run that long cat 6 should give you better odds of a more stable connection. 6A is even better.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You probably only need a power supply for each camera, they already have an extra power supply plug, besides the PoE plug, i am not sure though. I have done 260ft runs, with no problems, but 700ft run is huge... hope it works!
