Nope. A lot of people are making this assumption, but it is similarly priced everywhere, not just the US. Sadly, inflation is an international issue. Overall, $450 USD isn't too bad, about what I expected, but I know a lot of people are frustrated that they won't be able to afford it right off the bat.

Nintendo truly believes they have a cutting edge product that competes higher than the series x and ps5, so they are strong-arming the market into the $80-90 game market even though their games will always perform slightly lower than market performance. The tariff will merely be an excuse to increase the cost over the 450. We shall see since the preorder date was moved...
