• You can use joycons and pro controllers with this but it is really meant to be played as is, using the controls built in.

• You are almost guaranteed to need extra controllers because Nintendo has confirmed that only games that support handheld mode will be playable on Switch Lite. Because the controls attached are not considered actual joy-cons you will need joy-cons for any game requiring them like Mario Party for instance.
