To further answer this question you would have to contact T-Mobile directly. Each phone varies. This is not a contract phone and it is dirt cheap. "El Chapo" probably uses these often as he needs to replace them frequently. Top end tool if you know what I mean. Yeah, baby!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The phone is not unlocked. I have a prepaid plan. After you make $100 in refills/payments they will unlock the phone for you. Just call T-Mobile and they will email you an unlock code.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe it is unlocked. It is meant for tmobile and I am not sure how it would work with a different carrier. Mine came with a SIM card that i had to manually put in and set up. It is possible to put in a different card than the one it came with though.
