  • QuestionIs the straw made out of glass or plastic?

    Asked by Melmel.

    • Answer It uses a durable, BPA-free plastic straw designed for everyday use. Takeya does not make glass straws for their tumblers, and none of their 40oz models include glass components. Using plastic straws instead of glass is safer for on-the-go (no risk of shattering). Works better with the flexible, leak-resistant straw lid design. The straw is easier to clean and more durable for daily sipping.

  • QuestionIs it dishwasher safe

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer The cup is top-rack dishwasher safe as is the straw lid. Hand washing can most definitely extend the life of the powder-coat, but it's not required. This is one of the big perks compared to brands that require hand-washing only.

  • QuestionDoes it fit the cup holder?

    Asked by AMorris.

    • Answer Yes - it fits standard car cup holders. The base is designed to be cup-holder friendly, even though the top is wide, It fits in most cars, SUVs, and even tighter cup holders like older models. People compare it to the Stanley 40oz, but the Takeya actually has a slightly slimmer base, so it fits better in more vehicles.
