A:AnswerI actually went to the local store and asked..they had no real answer to give me and left with no help in solving this problem. I next called the Customer service line and asked if it would ever be in stock (because I think sometimes it says Backordered and this one does not...it says SOLD OUT). I was told it would be in stock but no time was ever given or estimated..I assume it will never be as all other vendors I looked at had it. So I just bought it at BH and BestBuy lost the sale.
A:AnswerI have been told that the Sigma is not as good as Tamron but I have not used a sigma. What I can say is that I FINALLY got a Tamron 70-200 2.8 G2 and LOVE IT! I have rented the Nikon Version as well and although there is a small amount of difference.... it's not $1300 worth if you are on a budget! Hope this helps
A:AnswerI shoot baseball and it does good. I would think that football would be the same. Go to FB and look for that lens. There is tons of chr groups and post about it. Examples too. Hope that this could help.
A:AnswerAddendum to my Tamron review -- Tamron does now have teleconverters designed with the 70-200 f2.8 G2 lens in mind. So it's even a better deal than I realized.
A:AnswerTo be honest with you I have know idea. I do however believe that it should since it is made for the newer versions of Nikon cameras. I hope this helps if not check the Nikon /Tamron websites to see if it will work with your camera
A:AnswerIt is available right now... 09/26/18 at 8:05pm MST I bought mine when I saw it was available at night a few weeks ago. I just check a few times a week. This is the second time I've seen it available in months of checking most days.
