“is this tool compatible with the dyson 2 multi floor upright, and how safe is it to use on a very long flight of stairs? I noticed quite a few concerns regarding the difficulty of using the hose which tends to pull on the vacuum and cause it to fall over”

Hi Moana, this is Kelly with Dyson. This tool can be used on either the wand or the directly on the hose of your Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2, for added versatility. You may find it useful to fully stretch out the hose before using on your stairs, to provided added flexibility. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use it with the Dyson ball animal upright and it works fine. You do have to carry the vacuum with you as you move up and down the stairs. This tool does not work with the Dyson stick vacuums like the V8 and V10 as the hose is a different configuration. Dyson sells a different turbine tool for those vacuums.
