“What is the inner dimensions of the padded section in the largest compartment? I'd like to know if it fits a 15.6 inch (15x10x1.2'') Thinkpad in the padded section and save the large section for my lunch box. Is 17.8" x 12.2" x 5.2" the outer dimensions?”

Not sure about the exact measurements, but you can fit a laptop, a tablet, and something about the size of an xbox360 in the large compartment of the bag.

it will fit the 15.6 with room to spare but it has little padding to protect it from damage. i would check one out in person before you buy. it is built well and has pockets for papers on the inside. nice for the price.

It can easily accommodate 15.6” laptop and have space for tab and other small stuff.
