• No, I ordered this along with my new iPad Pro 9.7" and am returning it because there are only 2 openings for speakers.

• This model is designed for the iPad Pro with 4 spots to deflect the sound to the front, rather than the side. Good design. Just bought this case for my iPad Pro 9.7".

• Yes, this cover has 4 ports for the speakers. The sound is excellent! A huge improvement from my iPad 2!

• I believe the cover is designed to enhance the speakers even though it looks like there are no openings for them. Check to see if the edge is tight at the speaker ends. If not, the the slight space is designed to direct the sound towards you.
