• No its not, but is thicker than i thought. I was under rain and all the items inside was ok.

• It may be limited to the water, but if you are going to be in the rain a long time, this may not be the best purchase. However, the laptop is against the back in a pocket but there is also room for books and notebooks. Additionally, there are two other useful pockets on the outside that would help prevent water getting to the stuff inside.
