• Yes same size connector. But, I am not sure on the performance. I no longer have the packaging and did not check to see if this will only send 3.0 at 2.0 or 3.0. You could go to Best Buy and look it up or the Manufacturer Website for more details

• Yes it fits. The USB 3 port needs to be backwards compatible with the 2.0. Speeds.

• Yes, the device will fit into a USB3 Port, but the output is USB 2.0. Hence the speed with be 480 mbps vs the potential 640 mbps that 3.0 offers.
