I have charged it once in two months. I use this product daily with intermittent use.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I did not buy the backlit version but I did see it working in the store. I have had my case for 3 weeks and not had to charge it yet. There is an on/ off switch for you to turn on the keyboard when using it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If the keyboard is really backlit I have never figured out how to do it. It is NOT automatic and the instructions do not speak to it. The battery seems to last reasonably long. I have not run into it not-working. But, I make sure to turn off the keyboard when not in use... and I charge it when I charge the ipad... which I'm doing about every other day. No, the keyboard does not acutomatically come on... I however, turn it on when I needed and off when I don't. The time for it to connect is just seconds.

Yes, keyboard is backlight with adjustable levels. The keyboard does automatically come on when you start typing but it may take a couple key hits for characters to show up on-screen. You get used to needing to give it a little time to get connected if you haven't used it in awhile.

The keyboard does seem to be backlit. It is easy to type, even in the sun. The keyboard comes on when I open a browser.
