Yes it’s on the back though don’t know how it fits though
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The pencil holder is on the back side. it is a 1.5'' strip made of vinyl. I haven't bought a pencil to test it out. But its definitely a nice feature.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The pencil holder is on the outer flap. It holds my Apple Pencil securely, but I do wish it was on the interior to prevent it from snagging when I slide the case into a bag.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.On the back of the case (where the camera and Apple logo opening are), there's a slot for the Apple Pencil. I don't have the pencil, but there is a slot for it on the back of the case. It's an odd placement, as this is the bottom of the case when you have it open. You would need to take the pencil out or stand it up at its most vertical position.
