• I agree! That is my only complaint. It does not appear to have the sleep magnet so power is still on.

• When you close the case, the table eventually turns off. I'm pretty sure that's what it's referring to.

• The sleep/wake magnet is used to wake up your iPad when you open the cover, and put it to sleep when you close it. It works perfectly with this case!

• This means it is considered a smart cover. The magnet inside of it turns the tablet on when you open it and off when you close it.

• The magnet serves as turn on or off the device when opening or closing the case. Located about the same area of the volume/mute.

• The sleep/wake magnet is like Apple's Smart Cover. When you close the cover it automatically puts your iPad in sleep mode without you pushing the button to lock/turn off the home screen and then when you open the cover it automatically turns it back on.

• The sleep/wake magnet will put the device to sleep when the case is closed and wake it back up when the case is open. It alleviates having to manually do both functions.

• It can both put to sleep or wake your device using magnets. If you close the lid it puts it to sleep. Upon opening of the lid it awakens the device.
