• Ya know, I bought this for my 9 year old grandson, which we have replaced his mini IPAD cracked screen twice. The case he had was not protecting the IPAD at all. Since I and my wife have these covers on our IPADs we decided to buy him one of these as they are sturdy. Is the shell rubber or plastic, I would have to say it is rubber, but could be plastic. It is very durable.. Hope this helps.
