• It's about 24 inches in the front and 21 1/2 inches in the back. Could you get a piece of board from Lowe's or Home Depot cut a little wider than the TV legs and set it on top of your existing surface to give you the width you need?

• The stands are approx 23" inches apart, just about in line with the width of your surface.
