I now own this TV & the Roku media player does have a slideshow option to display the full file names (not a dedicated button on remote though for seeing specific image file names), along with date/time of last edit & resolution, but the info is visible for just 3 seconds no matter how long each image is being shown & pausing the playback does not freeze the caption. You can go back and forth to see it several times for long file names, except for the last two images in any given folder in a random shuffle mode slideshow as apparently the table of random names is deleted once the final image is reached, and the next folder is loaded for playback, or a single folder playback is reshuffled (so, you see images from the new random table of images if you back up on last image, or just after last image). Would be great if the playback program was smart enough to save a few (5 or so) images from the last table in case the back button is pressed, and also if one could freeze-frame the captions, and maybe even customize the caption font type and size. Roku TVs could also be advertised as advanced digital photo frames if Roku enhances the options for slideshow a bit more. Maybe I'll ask them, if I can figure out how.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When you are in the media player looking at the thumbnails, it will show the name of each individual photo. If you have the photos in a loop/slideshow, it will not display the individual name of each picture. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
