“I will watch this tv using wired headphones. I do not want the tv speaker on when I’m using headphones. If I use the headphone jack do the external speakers mute, and is the volume of the headphones controlled by my remote? Preferably my fios remote.”

If you connect headphones to the TV, the internal speakers will be automatically disabled. The remotes will then control the volume of the headphones. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
