• Our portable ACs are designed to be self-evaporating, meaning most condensation is automatically reused and expelled through the exhaust system. However, in very humid environments, the unit may collect more water than it can evaporate. In that case, a drain tube may be needed for continuous drainage. If there is frequent water buildup, or if the unit indicates the tank is full, we recommend connecting the drain hose. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
