Subpar for the price

I like that it isn't very heavy, and sometimes it does a decent job on the dehumidifier setting. Unfortunately the vent tube looks like it was broken before I ever opened it. You genuinely have to tape it up a lot to prevent air from leaking out (it leaked out of more than just the tear). It also will disconnect from the window if you gently touch the unit-- the tube and window conntection are not very secure, so you may have to tape it or it'll pop out of the window. The app function only works on specific wifi settings so I have not been able to use that feature.

Works well and love how easy it is to move around. This is the 2nd one purchased from bestbuy within few weeks. The service at bestbuy was great. Not giving review to just enter in sweepstakes but I believe store owners and managers should be aware of how their customers like their products that was purchased and how well their employees interact with customers. Was easy quick purchase no wait. Quick and out which is great because my father was with me and he’s on oxygen so we value the quick in and out service.

Best: attractive, quiet, easy and efficient controls Worst: defective right out of the box. Does not process any moisture at all and full light comes on within a few minutes. Requested service days ago and no response from Besr Buy

Dumped 2 water tanks in a week!

I have 4 portable ACs different brands different sizes. This is my favorite one right now. It is considerably smaller than my 10 yr old 10,000 BTU off brand one by Whynter? Much smaller footprint easier to maneuver. Much quieter than the others (none are TCL). Seems to cool more effectively just looking at my thermostat. My old 10,000 btu could be on for 8 hrs and cant get room from 80 to 70. It maybe gets to 74. This one works faster getting down to 75 and actually gets room down to 70 in 6 hrs. In one hot and humid week with heavy use, maybe 15 hrs a day, I've actually had to empty the water tank twice on this because it was full. Out of my 4 ACs, i've NEVER had to empty a tank before. This is a first. Talk about efficient dehumidifying and cooling. I've owned this for about 4 months now and the only gripe is it seems a little noisier now and I'm not sure why. The wifi to my Alexa is a game changer. I can turn this on remotely to cool before I get home. Otherwise the only bad thing is the totally unusable TCL app that never works or connects. If you have Google Home or Alexa use that instead.

I’m very happy with this portable air conditioner. It cools my room quickly, is easy to set up, and doesn’t make much noise. The fan and dehumidifier functions are a great bonus, and the smart features make it very convenient to control. Noisy, but what do you expect, duh.

Cools quickly to a "good and cold". Easy to install and operate. For me, to cool down my bedroom, it was a very good choice. It's noisy, yeah, but you've got an air-conditioner sitting in the middle of the room. The fan, pump and mechanics in general do make noise. So, if you can't have noise, then go with something else cuz this will make you unhappy. If you want nice and cold, I'd certainly recommend this. One last comment. I got this from BestBuy. I didn't think about them selling air-conditioners, and tried all the other places especially hardware stores. Well, not a one of them had air-conditioners stocked in their stores. You had to wait 10 days for one to be delivered! Are you kidding me?! It's 100° and I want to get some sleep tonight in a cold room, not 10 days from now! BestBuy had them in stock at my usual store, so they got my business.

I am incredibly happy with this TCL portable air conditioner. It cools down my room remarkably fast and isn't overly loud. The smart features make it super convenient to control right from my phone, and switching between the AC and dehumidifier modes works seamlessly. Highly recommend it!

This thing blasts or some cold air. I put it in my bedroom and it works amazing. It's a little louder than i would like but honestly it is not that bad. Is day slightly quieter than a wall unit

Portable air conditioner

If you purchase a machine like this it is really not portable. The ac unit has two items that usually stays in place in your window. The exhaust hose and the water hose. I did not realize that there would be a need for a water hose, but the amount of condensation it produces especially in Florida weather makes in impractical to keep emptying a bucket. The machine has a good App and it definitely produces very cold air. I needed to call support and they were excelent in getting back to me.

TCL has become a premium feeling brand in recent years and so I specifically wanted this item after I upgraded my LG TV to a TCL TV This product feels premium and works really well very cool and works much better than my window unit did

Pretty decent for the size

I originally purchased because my central air was reading 83 set at 77, it was able to slightly drop the temp to 81. While I was unable to use it for its full use I was able to determine that my entire HVAC system was failing due to purchasing and using this ac. I did return it as I no longer needed it but if you need to chill a room say with a decent PC or a kids room this ac cranks. The only dislike I had was the draining it was needed frequently ALTHOUGH that could be related to excess moisture caused by my failing HVAC system

TCL - Great So Far

Cools our entire bedroom no problem. The dehumidifier feature was an unexpected plus. Especially for those humid nights. I also like the app, very easy to use and manage even when we are away. You do need to reconnect but it’s not enough to be an inconvenience. Installation was simple, just make sure you have some shears or cutter since all window seals aren’t perfect. They give you more than enough supplies to create a perfect air tight seal.

The TCL unit is a solid portable AC. Works well, cools a large room, could easily cool a room larger than 350 feet. My only criticism is it’s louder than you’d think. If they could’ve made it quieter it would be a great unit. That said, it’s a solid product and good value for the money.

Picked up this 350 sq foot model - and it successfully cooled a cathedral ceiling room way bigger when it was 98 F outside. Super easy set up and easy to drain unit. Highly recommend.
