“Can you use the smart features on a Roku tv without being forced to enter credit card information for the "free" Roku account? I have read that credit card information must be entered to use a Roku stick. If so, that is a purchase killer!”

If you are activating the TV at the same time you are creating a free Roku account, if you scroll to the bottom, it will give you the option to skip adding credit card information.
