I measured my 51” Tcl for you and found that you go diagonally but include the casing - spot on 51”. Screen was not. I added a picture of the edge (corner) to give you an idea of what I mean.

Per industry standard, TV screens are measured diagonally. This TCL Roku TV has a diagonal measurement of 50 inches, while the overall width of the TV is 44.1 inches. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
