In order to use the smart features of this TCL Roku TV, you would need to complete the guided setup. This includes connecting to the Internet via WiFi, creating a Roku account (completely free), and activating the TV (completely free). Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.For the actual roku, no there isn’t a monthly payment. However, depending what apps you use, you’ll have to pay for those monthly services. If you already have Netflix/Hulu/Apple Tv/Disney+ or whatever, you just download those apps and sign in. There are several free apps with movies or tv shows but they aren’t as popular movies/shows or they might be older ones.
