“Is there a way to connect some type of head phones besides the audio out or using an app and still have the speakers work? I have a family member who is hard of hearing I would like to wear headphones while the rest of us listen at a volume normal level.”

Currently, if connecting headphones, it will automatically disable the TV speakers and any other audio output. There are no settings to adjust this.
