In order to use the smart features of this TCL Roku TV, you would need to complete the guided setup. This includes connecting to the Internet via WiFi, creating a Roku account (completely free), and activating the TV (completely free). However, if you just want to use this TV as a traditional TV by connecting external devices through the various inputs and not use the smart features, you can elect to not connect this TV to the Internet at startup. You will still have access to all of the inputs and features of a traditional TV. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to pick what you want to watch, meaning the channels on Roku, takes about 5 min, very easy. Yes you will need Wi-Fi to run Roku. We have one and it truly one of the easiest TV's to set up
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you will have to open a ROKU account. No fees for this, just if you want to add anything on. Yes, you need WiFi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need to subscribe to a Roku account to install ANY apps, otherwise the TV isn't really "smart." You don't have to pay anything, but you DO need to give Roku payment information (you can revoke this later - it's really easy if you use PayPal). A little annoying if you never plan to buy additional streaming services via the platform.
