• Electronics work a lot like math. They will use the lowest common denominator. In your case that is Dolby Digital. If your receiver is not Dolby Digital+ your audio will be in standard dolby digital.

• Yes for all apps so long as the content being played on these apps are in 5.1 Dolby Digital. Stereo content will come out as either Dolby digital 5.1 or PCM stereo depending on the source. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
