I have the same problem. I don't think there is a way to get rid of it. I believe that's where the remote receptor is.

Hi Granny- That is the standby LED. It can be disabled by following these steps. Click the home button to take you to the home screen, go to settings, go to system, go to power. You will find an option to turn off the standby LED light. -TCL US Support
