I had a 36 inch for like 3 yrs before getting the 55. Not a single problem. And np in the month I've had this one. TCL def has my vote for cheap and effective

I am very happy with the quality of the picture as well as its additional features. As far as your comments that it is made overseas, every TV on the market, great to crap, is made overseas. So you might want to rethink you attitude on that subject. I have purchased 5 different Samsung "Plasma" TV's over the years. (They don't make plasma anymore) Made in Korea but they are all still working and they provide a better picture than anything I have seen yet, to replace them.
