Yes - dolby vision will make difference in 4K.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I agree with previous reviewer...the Dobly vision is better and the 5 series adds a few more features not found in the 4 series. The HDR is one of the BEST features you will use and this 5 series has it...and it does make a difference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I would say that it is worth the upgrade for two reasons in particular, first it is a little brighter for sunny rooms and it has better off angle viewing. I bought one for my mother and we are both pleased with it. Really good TV at the price point.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. While this is majorly based on preference, our exciting 5 series builds on all the great features of our 4 series: 4K ultra HD, HDR support, and the exciting Roku operating system, and adds amazing performance features like Dolby Vision, wide color gamut, and our HDR pro gamma feature. And adds all this in an exciting new ultra slim cabinet. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It was for me because of the addition of Dolby Vision and a slightly wider color gamut.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the 55s405 2017 model and it is great.you can put a 32gb usb flash drive in tv and pause live tv for 90minutes remote gets a little sqeeky in a yr.The newer model for $50 more i would buy but when they 1st came out alot of reviews were problems with banding in picture.Basically i think the only difference is Dolby Vision. To get the best picture i think a 4k Blu-ray player would be good but i haven't purchased yet.The Hdr on the s405 only looks good on medium brightness setting. You need a least 25 mbps w/ internet provider to get 4k streaming. But true 4k would be with Blu-ray.Hope this helps. Also S405 65 inch 2017 model at Best buy sold out Thanksgiving for $399 so if you can get that what a bargain.Go to tcl.com they list stores and current prices.Thats how i puchaced mine Ipaid $379 no tax from Electronics Express.Good luck hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Totally, HDR for gaming is a deal-breaker. If you don't have it get one with that. If you have go with a better HDR TV. Any HDR is recommended.
