- Answer Yes.Better yet if your soundbar has HDMI ARC connection hook up to HDMI ARC port on tv and your tv remote will control soundbar volume.W/out tv speakers on .

- Answer Yes, this is the 2018 model. The 55S515 is the Best Buy only model. The 55S517 model is the full retail version with a better remote and bezel.

QuestionIt states it has a 120cmi with a Natural Motion of 240. Can you tell me if it is a 120hz or 60hz?

- Answer I'm about 95% sure that the real actual refresh rate is 60hz maybe 75hz because when I plug my laptop into it and check the display properties it shows "75hz" in refresh rate. I have another tv that shows the same thing but is actually only 60hz, not sure why this happens, could be something with the gpu in my laptop being AMD. The "CMI" is the "Clear Motion Index" which is the "perceived" refresh rate achieved by adjusting the flickering of the backlight. I think the "Natural Motion 240" is an increased backlight-only refresh to change how the eye perceives fast moving video content. The TCL 55S515 has two options, that the smaller 43" and 49" models DO NOT, in the Picture Settings menu called "Natural Cinema" and something like "Fast Motion" to manually adjust the backlight speed. One removes motion blur from fast moving content and the other removes the "judder" from 24p content such as most DVDs and BluRays.

QuestionCan I just hook up my Apple TV box to this instead of using the Roku? I know that is overkill but I already paid for and love my Apple TV and the reviews and price point for this TV are decent so I am thinking I can just combine them.

- Answer Yes that is exactly what I do as well I love Apple TV and it’s as simple as hooking up the hdmi from Apple TV to the tv . Enjoy a great tv for the price!

QuestionI bought this TV just today. I see white patches on the edges of the screen as shown in the pictures and they are visible when the screen gets dark or black. Is this normal?

- Answer Yep. It’s an edge lit display and has a bit of light bleed. Most TVs in the price range have this issue. Have to buy a full array back light if you want to eliminate it. I think the step up 55s615 has a full array of its too distracting for you. I personally am used to it and hardly notice it anymore

QuestionIs it normal for the left speaker area to rattle when the volume is at 1/2 volume? It is not in everything but AHS on Sling makes vibrations that make me want to return this TV for the Samsung equivalent.

- Answer This specific TV is actually a new TCL Roku TV that was first released mid 2018, so there is no 2017 equivalent. This TV features 4K UHD resolution, HDR, Dolby Vision support, and an easy to navigate Roku operating system. Thank you, TCL Customer Support

QuestionHi, I’m brand new to this streaming tv craze and am interested in an all in one Roku tv or Fire tv. I don’t play games, I’m simply in it to get rid of my cable service. 4series or 5? I don’t know the difference. HELP!

- Answer Biggest difference in 4 vs. 5 is the 5 series is capable of displaying content produced in Dolby Vision. Dolby Vision is the highest performing format currently available and is usually only available on high end TV's, and not all movies are produced in Dolby Vision. With the 5 Series TCL, you'll find plenty of content shot in Dolby Vision on Amazon Prime, and on Netflix. You'll want to make sure you have the Netflix Premium plan for 4K content. I think it's around $16 a month, but worth it to take advantage of 4K and 4K with Dolby Vision.

QuestionHi, I assume this TV has an ethernet port for wired directly to a router..Also, can I "cast" directly to the TV from my phone or computer, or will I need a separate chromecast accessory?

- Answer No casting here without a Chromecast dongle. There are 3 HDMI ports and a USB port so add a dongle and cast away.

QuestionI have two Roku tv's. One is hooked up to cable using an analog to digital converter. It works fine. The second has no converter and works only intermittently with the cable control. Will this tv need a converter? Thank you

- Answer This TV comes with Ruku already. You will need to connect this TV to the internet (WiFi or lan) and you will be good to go. You will have to add this to your account or create a new one on Ruku. The remote it comes with is the standard Ruku remote and is fine for general use. Has a few preset quick buttons for Hulu and a couple other services. I love this TV....very easy to use.

- Answer Yes. Roku is built in. Works great. However, I have never used a separate Roku device. For the price, I enjoy this TV with Roku very much.
