Please try again later.When I connect the optical audio cable from my TCL 55S517 to my Onkyo TX-NR777 receiver I've found that the TV's speakers can continue to create sound but there is about a 200ms delay between the TV's speakers and the receiver's speakers. I'm unsure if this is due to TV, the cheap optical cable, or the receiver at this point, still troubleshooting. Either way, the optical plug does not cut off the TV speakers.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.When you connect headphones to the headphone jack, it will disable the TV speakers. We have not tested plugging in a pair of headphones to the Optical out port, and therefore cannot comment on that particular setup. Thank you, TCL Customer Support
