“The 3.5m headphone out, will it disable the tv speakers? if so is there setting on tv let both play sound ? My old tv did this fine so I could have my wireless headphone base connect to to the 3.5m and use optical feed my avr that dont have hdmi?”

You could have both connected to Optical output. You will need two devices. One device to convert the Optical to Analog for the head phones. One device to split the optical from the tv into two optical outputs. Connect one output to your AVR. Other to optical output to analog device. Devices can be found on Amazon. Used similar setup on my main TV to supply output to soundbar and for wireless headphones.
