• Hi Pattitox, Most owners of the 8 series are very happy with the sound system including the base level. If you find you prefer an additional sound system they can be hooked up to the TV using HDMI, optical or the 3.5mm audio jack. -TCL Customer Support

• Sound quality is exceptional for a new TV. I have a sound bar and never use it because this TV sounds so good
