“I have a sony str-dh590 and have an issue with getting the TV sound to play on the Receiver. I have it hooked up correctly and have had it working but ONLY when the TV is the only thing connected to the receiver. TV doesn't see cec receiver at this point.”

I don't know if I can help, but I have a Sony STR-DN1040 and it plays all sources well, either with the TCL's speakers or, more commonly, through my home theater speakers. Make sure you're connected to the "ARC" HDMI input on the TV and your receiver is set to whichever other source (blue ray, etc) you're trying to send to the tv. If everything worked with your previous tv. it seems odd it won't work with the TCL. You might also check your receiver's manual under the HDMI settings menu. On mine if the "Audio Out"is set to "amp" the HDMI audio signal only goes to the home theater speakers and you must select "TV + AMP"to get sound from the TV speakers. If all else fails you might try Sony tech support (800-222-7669 a couple years ago when I used them), TCL support, or the Geek squad. Good luck.
