Not exactly. The hardware has been upgraded, there's HDMI 2.1 ports, and it includes a google assistant voice recognition bar (which you can disable) to help control the TV with your voice or other devices. This set is an upgraded version of the R635 but doesn't have very significant upgrades aside from HDMI 2.1 which is a big deal for gamers.
