Because they just want your money. Don't worry, the Hisense U8k has you covered on that and 120hz Dolby vision which TCL claims it can do even on the Dolby vision website but does not. Look at TCL glorious 120hz Dolby vision picture below. It's a rainbow mess. Go with Hisense who actually honors the warranty.
