“I'm planning on installing it above my fireplace mantle. It's going to be a tight fit height wise. Would you know how much room is needed in order to hook the TV onto a wall mount? I'm going to have limited amount of up/down play in order to hook it on”

The TV is a bit over 4ft in height without the legs (like 49.5 inches.) Personally, I set mine on a 19" high custom TV stand so that we wouldn't have to crane our necks up to see the screen, but if you have a minimum of say 5ft between your mantle and the ceiling, you should be fine.
