Can you utilize tv volume on a Q7 TCL tv in tandem with this TCL soundbar? I know you can’t do both using the HDMI ARC option but I’m curious if using the optical input cord instead would allow me to use the soundbar without losing the TV audio. null

Connecting via Optical should not disable the TV speakers. However, it is recommended to mute the TV audio when using Optical as using both may cause an audio echo. Additionally, if connecting via Optical, you would not be able to use the TV remote to control the soundbar volume level. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

No it’s either or. But the soundbar is great and you can adjust through the app if you prefer a more crisp sound that’s similar to the original,directly from the tv.
