Yes. It has volume (you can decrease or increase). Yes. You can hear sounds with video. This is like a videoconference. / FaceTime. The only difference is that you need to press the microphone button in your phone app when talking through the camera.

Yes it has sound. This camera is wonderful we use it to keep an eye on our dogs and theres a button on the app that allows you to speak into it so I usually will say hi to my pups. The picture quality is very clear.
